Project Homeless Connect - November 3rd

This event was amazing. I really feel like I've made a difference and was able to get a much better understanding of what plagues someone who is homeless. My girl had a tragic story. Broke my heart. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

This was SO WELL organized and flowed so well...the BIG room was a little intimidating, I think, for some of the clients...but the food, the goody bags, the hair cuts, the court session--all of it was terrific. And even animals being spayed was amazing. A wonderful day and so inspirational for me (and for many of the other volunteers).

With so many volunteers scheduled to do clean-up we were done very early. The only critic is: direction as to what to keep (signs, tally sheets, etc) and where to put them.

Too many volunteers left before the tear-down work was completed. The volunteer shortfall was well compensated for as the crew from the catering supply company was very efficient in loading the tables and chairs.
