2021 Leadville Trail 100 MTB

As I described above, the experience was wonderful, and interacting with the athletes all day was amazing. One of my friends and I had the job of pulling sensors off bibs at the cutoff. That was tough, but being able to offer words of encouragement to them during that time was special. I volunteered to gain preference for 2022, as I missed the 12 hour buckle by 28 seconds in 2019…..12:00:28!!!

I shared that with several people, an encouraged them to be resilient and come back to volunteer and try again!

This was one of the best days of my life to help over a thousand people strive and push themselves to their limits and achieve their dreams. I can't wait until I have the fitness and the chance to attempt this honorable challenge!

I have done 100’s of tases and runs but have never volunteer. It’s about time I did.
