Foothills United Way's Day of Caring is the largest single-day volunteer event in Boulder and Broomfield counties. It is an opportunity for local volunteers to go out, give back, and make a positive impact in our community. Day of Caring reflects one of Foothills United Way's core values: that we are better together and, united, we can achieve our vision of future in which all people can achieve their full potential.

Day of Caring begins with volunteer projects hosted at agencies across the region, beginning at 8:00 am and wrapping up around noon. We welcome corporate groups, community and civic groups, and individuals 18 and up to participate in volunteer projects. We then invite all volunteers and project hosts to a catered community picnic at Acreage where there will be door prizes, music, great food, and more!
Day of Caring 2018 was our largest Day of Caring yet: 1,200 volunteers were able to complete 70 projects in 4,400 Volunteer Hours, providing over $117,000 in value to the community in a single day! Over the past 25 years, day of Caring has contributed over 60,000 volunteer hours and almost $1.5 million in value to our community's nonprofit organizations.
